Wrong Diagnosis!

(NaturalNews) Diagnostitis is a new disease that I invented, I'm sure many others have had the same idea. It's a condition caused by health professionals declaring that you have something wrong with you that's incurable but the symptoms can only be treated with drugs or surgery.

Diagnositis is an inflammation and irritation that you feel when you are given the wrong diagnosis. Or it could be a diagnosis callously embellished with all the horrors of the disease. When I was a second-year medical student doing rounds with an orthopedic surgeon and my clinical group, I witnessed our surgeon describing the terrible fate awaiting a young man recently diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis (a deforming arthritic condition), in front of the patient. I was appalled! At the end of rounds thedoctorstarted to criticize me for sitting on another patient's bed to obtain his history. I said, no, I want to talk to you! I immediately launched into his incredible insensitivity for dashing any hope ofrecoveryfrom Adam, the spondylitis patient.

Diagnostitis can be the result of being given adiagnosisalong with an admonition to not do any alternative treatments because they won't work. The doctor may not have the tools to help his patient but he dashes any hope that something else or someone else might have answers.

Here's another cause of diagnostitis. I've had clients who tell medoctorshave blurted out, "I can't believe you're still alive!" Or the doctor simply says, "I can't believe you are doing so well." This statement to some can be a triumph that you've surpassed your doctor's expectations. But to another it could reactivate the feeling that you didn't have a very good chance of surviving and initiate a setback.

That recently happened to a client of mine. After extensive backsurgeryhe went for his two-week check up and x-rays. The x-ray technician was shocked at the major work that had been done. The technician's genuine surprise that he was doing so well in the face of such extensive surgery threw my client into irrational fears that his recovery was probably tenuous and wouldn't last.

I remember when I first went to medical school, doctors didn't tellpatientshow sick they were or whether or not they hadcancer. Then came the era of the "informed consent". Doctors felt obliged to tell patients if there was even a 5 percent chance that they had cancer. You may not agree, but I think telling a person they may have cancer can actually sow the seeds of cancer in their vulnerable mind and body.

I recently wrote a foreword for a soon-to-be-published book calledBecome a Wellness Championby Pam Bartha, a science teacher and writer.

In 1988, at age 28, Pam was diagnosed withmultiple sclerosis. She was told by her neurologist that it was only a matter of time before she would land in a wheelchair and then be completely disabled. This doctor was playing God. He was adamant there was nothing she could do to change the prognosis of herdisease. He even warned her against snake oil cures, saying they were useless. He put nails in her coffin and added the stress of "incurability" to her list ofsymptoms. He added diagnositis and the fear of never recovering from her MS diagnosis. But Pam chose to become awellnesschampion instead.

How cruel are these doctors who so often sentence their patients to a life of illness, refusing to look beyond an allopathicdrugand surgery approach! With no naturopathic ornatural medicinetraining, doctors issue a divine proclamation that keeps many people ignorant of other options. With their presumedauthorityand their words, they pass judgment on aspects ofmedicinethey have never studied.

Doctors have indeed become the priesthood and wield terrible authority over their patients. And some of them don't even realize thepowerof their words. They know very little about multiple sclerosis or other auto-immune conditions. Yet they never state their ignorance. They just pass on their hopelessness to their patients.

Too few patients break free of the confines imposed byallopathic medicine. However, some brave and courageous souls take their doctor'sdeathsentence as a challenge to prove him wrong, which is exactly what Pam Bathra did. And if Pam can do it, so can you!

Too few doctors break free from the confines of allopathic medicine. The words they say are geared to fit into the standard practice of medicine. Any words outside that box can get them in trouble.

For an example of this, read my Natural Newsarticle, "The Medical Monopoly" (http://www.naturalnews.com/Author_D...). In the comments section below the article is a moving story by a reader who says, "I am a burn survivor and was advised to not use insect repellent, perfume, shampoo, soap, aftershave, shaving cream, sunscreen, etc. When I asked my doctor why he wasn't telling the world about the crap in all these products he looked me in the eye and said, 'I have a wife, children, a mortgage and other patients to help. If I told the world what I told you I wouldn't have any of it.' I felt sorry for him, he had a tear in his eye, but I understood why he didn't tell the world."

What's my message? Make your own words be "the tell" of how you want your world to be and how you want yourhealthto be. Don't let anyone else's words take away from your power. No authority on earth can do that.

Fluoridation makes us stupid and unhealthy

Cover image of Fluoride: Drinking Ourselves to Death?A recent Chinese study concluded that low dose sodium fluoride in drinking water diminishes IQ, especially among children. This is the twenty-fourth such international study with the same conclusion. Sodium fluoride has also been linked to reduced fertility and lower sperm counts
Fluoride is more toxic than lead and only slightly less toxic than arsenic. Yet it is routinely added to the drinking water of  millions people in the US. We are given no choice.

This mass medication is justified for reasons of dental health but there is no scientific evidence to prove the benefits of fluoride. Indeed all the evidence points incontrovertibly to the harm caused by fluoride to human, plant and animal life.

Fluoridation has been abandoned or is banned throughout continental Europe, China and Japan. Nevertheless governments and health authorities in Britain, Ireland and elsewhere are determined to pursue a policy of mass fluoridation, using arguments that are based on flimsy scientific evidence and ignoring increasing public concern.

In this carefully researched and persuasively written book, Barry Groves has assembled an impressive body of evidence and opinion from throughout the world showing that the case for fluoridation of water is based on poor science and dogmatic ignorance rather than on any scientifically proven benefit to public health. His conclusions are truly alarming for everyone concerned with their own health, that of their families and of society in general.
